Welcome – Brooke Quilt-Along! Week 1

Brooke is a bright, whimsical new collection designed by QT Fabrics.   I’m Shannon Ownby, owner of Fabrics N Quilts quilt shop in Jamestown, Tennessee.  I have designed a  lap quilt to share here on the QT blog; we will have fun making this together! This is my 7th design for QT Fabrics and I am excited to see your progress each week!  Be sure to tag any social media posts with #QTBrookeQAL and #QTFabrics so we can see your blocks and progress.  There is also a Facebook event for this where you can post photos and comments!

Each week you’ll find one section of the quilt right here on the QT blog.  The tutorials will walk you through each block with lots of pictures.   If you have any questions, or comments just email me directly @ shannon@fabricsnquilts.com

It’s time to gather your supplies from your favorite Quilt Shop!

You will need basic sewing and rotary cutting supplies.  Everything you need, fusible web, fusible fleece, and the Brooke fabrics with quantities, are outlined below in a handy shopping list! Click on the image to download and print!

Keep in mind… this quilt-along is for fun!  If you don’t have time to shop or finish a block in any given week, you can always refer back to the previous blogs and follow along!

We will have a big giveaway the last week of the quilt-along! Prize package will be announced next week…

There are multiple ways to enter the giveaway:

  • Upload a photo using the hashtags (#QTBrookeQAL and #QTFabrics) on Instagram
  • Comment on this blog
  • Comment on the Facebook event with photos!

We’re excited to see you next week to start the quilt and showcase the first block!

  1. I could not be happier with this project! Love the fabric and the pattern. Am relieved, too, that Shannon will be supplying tutorials and pictures (I’m ashamed to say that I have been a “beginning quilter” for the past 20+ years). The dots pulled me in!!
